How It Works: Parents
Give your son
Every advantage
Prepare with confidence. A proven approach to better velocity, performance, & health. Trusted since 2015 by over 7,000 pitchers.
1,000+
250+
Developed for performance. Designed to last.
Watch your son train with confidence. Discover his weak links. Throw harder. Dial in his off-speed. Improve his command. Learn how to pitch. Stay healthy. Tread is the key to your son becoming a complete pitcher with everything it takes to compete at the next level.
Develop sustainable velocity
A comprehensive approach to building velocity the right way: squeezing everything possible out of your son’s body without shortcuts. Through refined mechanics, strength, and mobility work, we develop throwing velocity that’s built to last. No quick fixes that spike numbers today and create injuries tomorrow.
Build a complete arsenal
Help your son refine his existing pitches or build an entirely new arsenal. Our pitch design process is tailored to his unique anatomy and backed by data, so the shapes he develops are ones he can actually execute when it matters most
Dominate the strikezone
Your son will learn science-backed mental preparation and training techniques that bridge the gap between elite stuff and in-game results, so he’s ready to execute under pressure, not just in practice.
Take ownership of his arm health
Whether your son is working through a pre-existing injury or just looking to stay healthy and on the field, we’ll uncover any red flags early and build a personalized arm care plan so he stays in the game longer and develops without setbacks.
Learn how to best attack hitters
A nasty arsenal is one thing. Knowing how to use it is another. We’ll work with your son to develop a clear, data-backed gameplan so he understands how to lean into his strengths, attack hitters on both sides of the plate, and locate each pitch to maximize his performance when it counts.

Step 1: Coach Assignment
Assign best fit coach to guide and mentor your son
After learning your son's situation, our team will match him with one of our over four-dozen Performance Coaches, ensuring he has someone with both the experience and coaching style to meet his specific goals.
Step 2: Remote Assessment
Identify your son's strengths and weaknesses
Our intake process identifies how your son is uniquely designed to move, uncovering both what he already does well and where the biggest opportunities for improvement are. We'll identify mechanical flags, strength and mobility deficits, arsenal and nutritional opportunities, and more.
Step 3: Custom Plan
A training plan that evolves as he does
We build a comprehensive training plan unique to your son's situation, with a 365-day perspective in mind. With monthly program updates, easy-to-follow instructional videos, and complete access to his coach, he'll have everything he needs to take control of his development.
Step 4: Guidance
Unlimited support from a coach who cares
Tread is an interactive coaching service, not just a program to follow. Your son can ask daily questions through the Tread+ app and schedule weekly phone or video calls. Submit video for breakdowns, form checks, outing reviews, pitch design feedback, and more. Whatever is holding him back, we're here for him.
Step 5: Results
Focus on training, let us handle the rest
While some wins come fast, others take time, persistence, and problem-solving. Your son brings the work ethic, and we'll bring the plan. As he hits his training benchmarks and key performance indicators, we'll set our sights on newer, more ambitious goals together.
Step 6: In-House / Hybrid
Experience a world-class training environment
Unlock the ability to book add-on in-house visits at our private, 33,000 square foot training headquarters. Most athletes plan a couple pit stops throughout the year to work hands-on with their coach and train in an environment where everyone is chasing a shared dream.

Frequently asked questions
Here are some of the questions we get asked most.
How much does Tread cost?
Our athletes commit to 12-months of guidance, with a one-time assessment fee and the option to pay annually or in monthly installments.
There are also hybrid training options available, with separate pricing for in-house visits.
Pricing varies based on a number of factors, so for an accurate answer, please reach out.
Does this plan work with my team or current program?
Yes. Nearly all of our remote athletes have pre-existing team programs, practice schedules, and obligations that we take into account.
We will tailor your training protocols around whatever constraints are in place and work with your existing team/coaches when necessary to provide a solution that works with your program.
How do the in-house visits / hybrid training options work?
While many athletes train entirely remotely, the majority plan multiple in-house visits to Charlotte each calendar year. These visits are an opportunity to utilize our in-house technology, connect with other like-minded pitchers, experience the environment and build a closer relationship with your coach.
Book a call to learn more about these options, which can range from one-day visits to an entire year for local or gap-year players.
Does Tread work in-season?
Yes. Our plans are built with a 365-day experience in mind.
We’ve found that in-season there’s a greater need for guidance, with less margin for error. The emphasis in-season shifts to optimizing for in-game performance. This includes monitoring and providing feedback on mechanics, pitch shapes, recovery training sessions, strength maintenance, game planning, outing reviews, mental preparation, and more.
That said, we also have options to Pre-Register, so even if you don’t plan to start until a specific date, schedule a call to reserve a spot in advance.
What equipment is required?
Your coach can adjust your plan to whatever equipment you have available, whether you’re on the road, with your team or training in your basement.
Generally, you will want a gym for training (barbells & dumbbells at a minimum), a place to throw, and access to a pitcher’s mound.
We highly recommend a set of plyocare balls, a set of bands, access to a radar gun, and a throwing partner.
What ages do you work with?
We work with professional, college and high school athletes. Due to the nature of remote training, we do not recommend our service for athletes younger than high school age.
Do you train two-way or position players?
We do! About 10% of our athletes are position players. We still individualize your plan based on your goals (such as sprinting speed, position-specific arm strength and hitting power).
